Truth or legend? In the early 1970s, the great Spanish luthier Miguel Rodriguez Jr. crafted a few exceptional guitars out of a rosewood church door that was being carted off to a junk pile, with one of them intended for Romero Quartet patriarch Celedonio Romero, another for his son, Pepe. Those exquisite instruments were also the inspiration (and template) for modern creations in Cordóba’s Master Series of classical guitars. It’s quite a saga, spanning four decades.
